...Dead Kennedy Rolls...

2006? You mean 2004, right? It's 2004. It can't possibly be 2006. Oh fuck, it's 2006.

I guess I'll work my way backwards. New Year's Eve was mostly fun. I celebrated it at my girlfriend's NYE party. It was nice to see her since she was out of town visiting family for the holidays (those of us with real jobs don't get 2 weeks off to go visiting people ;). The party was good minus a few points. For starters, there was a no watching the ball drop policy from Lynn's roommate. That's like Christmas with no tree, Hanukkah with no minorah, a birthday with no candles, or the fourth of July with no fireworks... it's what makes NYE, NYE. I had a small hope there was something to replace this staple of NYE - banging pots and pans, noise makers, firecrackers, porn... but no. It was me counting down on my watch. Anticlimactic to be sure. Next up, a bit after midnight Lynn's roommate went psychotic (only surprising because of the number of people around). While this put a bit of a damper on the party, it was kinda good because only two people have ever believed me about her. Now there's witnesses. Evil in a bubbly blonde.

That aside, I got a good kiss at New Year's, which is a good thing. A pretty good game of Taboo, complete with raunchy jokes was had. Champaigne in red cans (the hostesses had claimed they were pink, but everyone except one person agreed with me that they were indeed red. I might have held them up to the pink in Sarah's shirt to prove my point. But hey - cold nipples are a good thing, right?), Captain Morgan Private Stock, some stellar meatballs, and some great company made the party a definite fun time. Jay yelling "Glory Hole" at every word in Taboo was entertaining too. ;)

Moving back in time, Christmas was spent here in LA this year. This is a first for me and was awesome. It was sad to not see my Florida friends, or do the Christmas traditions with my family, admittedly. However, I had a small Christmas gathering with my best friend, Josh, and another good friend of mine, KC. They came over, we snacked, opened presents and watched a lot of movies. Bad Santa, Team America, and Original Sin were watched on Christmas Eve. On Christmas Day they came back over and I made Garlic Cheese Burgers and we watched Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, Family Guy, American Dad... and probably some more stuff I'm forgetting. I had decorated the house with lights and a tree, and KC bought us all stockings. It was a really, really nice Christmas. Among the things I got for Christmas were: a gift certificate for a massage at Burke Williams, a digital camera, a gift certificate for snow boarding gear, a DVD and some CDs.

Thanksgiving was just Josh and I hanging out watching movies and having burgers - similar to Christmas. I don't remember what we watched off hand.

In November, while I was at the gym a guy in an 18-wheeler got his truck caught on the spoiler of a car and then dragged that car into my car putting a nice groove in my front bumper. He's paying to get that fixed, and the parts are finally in, so it'll be fixed next week.

I'm still making it to Rocky regularly. Josh is officially on tech crew there, and they keep asking me to join. I will when we get more people at work and I'm not oncall every 4 weeks.

Let's see that covers the timeline stuff, what else? Lynn and I are doing great. April will be 2 years for us. No, there is no marriage anywhere in sight, so stop fucking asking us. I'll remind everyone I'm 23, and I was with Kristel for 3 years and wasn't considering marriage then either.

Oh - BTW, yes, USC lost in the Rose Bowl. That bites. It would have been pretty sweet to have a threepete. Yeah, I know, I rhyme, shut up. It was disappointing to be so close to victory and have it robbed at the last second. That said, we had a great run. We were undefeated national champions for 2.99999 seasons. It's time to let someone else have a chance. Best of luck to you longhorns. Also, what a game! I hate sports, and it was a really good game. And really, that's what sports are about - challenging opponents that make the game tough, close, and interesting. Both teams did awesome. Congrats.

Well, that's enough babble from me. I hope your holidays were great, I hope you had a good New Year's Eve lay, I hope the new year brings you screaming orgasms, and a minimum of stupid people crossing your path.

Until next month...
Phil
