... Tuck you in, warm within...

My quote this month is sarcastic... it's for the complete lack of sleep I've gotten lately. Finals suck. Midterms suck. A midterm a week before your final in the same class... REALLY sucks.

But alas I shall live. Thanksgiving was interesting. I went to my girlfriend's parents place in Scottsdale, AZ, as seems to be the developing tradition. They had lots of interesting food, I ate a lot of Wheat Things and chocolate (I'm a picky eater). But it was fun, and a nice break from school work.

I finally saw Raiders of the Lost Arc and Temple of Doom. Now I just have to see The Last Crusade (yes, before a month ago I had never seen any of the Indiana Jones movies, I know, it's sad). They're definitely cool.

On the cool side, one of the final projects I'm working on is a competitive gathering robot. The idea is, one field (which is actually a large table with an octagon gate around it), two goals, 8 blocks, and two robots (two different teams). The two robots complete to get as many blocks as possible back to their own goal. The 4 blocks closer to the other side are worth 5 points each the 4 blocks closer to you are 2 points each. Our robots are made of LEGOs and have a computer, a light sensor, an LED, three motors, gears, a lego chain, tiny IR emitor/sensor pair, stronger IR sensor for detecting encoded beacons, and bump sensors. It's a lot of fun.

What else? I'm going to my girlfriend's parent's place for the first part of the holidays. It will be the first time I'm not home for Christmas/Hanukkah. Wierd. Then my girlfriend and I will be heading to my parent's place for New Years. Lots of fun to be had by all.

Well, I have lots of papers to write, and tests to study for, so that's it for this month. I hope you had a great Thanksgiving, and I hope you all have a great Holiday season. Oh yeah, two more things:
