Staff Letters: Phil

...If I could have my wasted days back...

So, only one week last this month. Getting back on schedule slowly. Although this month is a busy month for me. I'm currently smack in the middle of finals, next week I move, I'm working full time - lots of exciting stuff.

Lets talk about Metallica. mtvICON was last week - that was truly a special event. Obviously the biggest highlight was getting to hear Frantic, but aside from Metallica's performance, the highlight of the show for me was Avril Lavigne's performance. I definitely have a new respect for her.

Additionally, the Fillmore shows are coming up! I was shocked and excited to find out a guy I'd met at a few linux meetings won a ticket and invited me to go with him! So I'll be hitting the Thursday show. Full report when I get back of course.

Only 30 days left until St. Anger!! The excitement is truly becoming unbearable. I forgot how much fun it is when a new Metallica album comes out. And knowing (from reports, and from hearing Frantic) that this album is going to kick everyone's ass just makes it all that much cooler!

That's about it for me... see you next month!
