...My body my temple...

Sorry it's been so long. But guess what... I'M DONE! With finals that is. It was an absolutely horrible experience, but I'm done. That's why there's been no updates around here lately - but I'm getting around to it. I did the news and calendars today, and here's my letter of the month.

I saw a lot of movies in the last (almost) week since school's been over. And I saw a few during April. And I saw Spider-man during finals week. I usually only put the movies that I saw during the month previous to that which I'm writing the letter for but this month I'm including everything up until tonight (saw the Scorpian King tonight).

Speaking of Spider-man - if you have not seen this movie GO right NOW AND SEE IT! I can't say enough good things about this movie. The acting was perfect, the casting was awesome, the script was well done, the story (thanks Stan Lee) was obviously kick-ass, the directing was very, very well done - and of course the special effects were out of this world. The movie appeals on a multitude of levels from growing up, to our dreams, to our love life, and so many, many more things. It was shocked by this movie, I was wooed by this movie, I was saddened by this movie, I was inspired by this movie, I was amazed by this movie, I was made happy by this movie, and I was incredibly excited by this AMAZING film!! Wow! I can't wait to see it again, I can't wait to own the DVD, and I can not wait for the sequel(s)!!!!

I went out for my birthday tonight - yes my birthday was in March. But this is the first time Kristel and I have had enough time to do anything. Kristel took me to The Stinking Rose, a very nice garlic restuarant, for dinner. Everything on their menu has lots of garlic. Their place is decorated with vampire stuff (somewhat ironically), spider webs, and other very cool (and somewhat spooky) stuff. The service was excellent, and the food was great (of the two appetizes, the Garlic Filet Mignon Chili wasn't very good, but everything else was superb). After that we went to see The Scorpian King, which was a pretty good flick. I enjoyed it. Now I've seen part 1 and part 3 of that series, I need to go see The Mummy (for those of you who don't know, The Scorpian King is the prequel). Obviously this movie comes no where close to my new favorite movie Spider-man, the best movie in years, but for what it was, it was pretty good.

I guess that's about it. Happy May, Happy Spring, Happy Summer Vacation... now hopefully to get some surfing in!
