Staff Letters: Dave

I just played golf. Best round of the year. Job hunting. Want to find something soon, but being very picky. Envious of Europeans. Where is MY summer tour? Phooey. Looking forward to seeing "300". Watched Ghost Rider (blah) and The Good Shepherd (not too bad, although lengthy and rambling, which I seem to see happen a lot with true/semi-true stories). I've been mad at sound in general lately, so I'm not listening to as much music, nor watching T.V. Also I'm sick of reading for the next couple months, so I basically will wind up sleeping and working. New girlfriend too, so less time for anything anyway. Demanding people, women. I pulled down a wall in my condo to open it up. Because of that I had to cut out some flooring to get it out without destroying the ceiling and discovered I would have to redo the flooring anyway to cover where the wall was. In order to get the floor out, I had to pull off the molding. Then I discovered that in order to get the dining room floor out, I would have to pull out the kitchen floor, so that came out...sort of. Apparently linoleum splits in two, leaving the paper bottom and the glue on the floor. And since I work a lot, and have a girlfriend, I now have half the linoleum up from the dining room, all of it up from the kitchen, half the paper and glue scraped away, and more of the paper but not the glue. So I can't walk into my dining room or kitchen without getting full of glue, sticky paper, sticky plywood pieces, solvent, and leftover pieces of paper. All in the quest for a coke. Let alone the food I have in stupid fridge. I hate home remodeling...
