Lets see. Long trip. Got there around 5 pm. Found Toby and Eric, got inside, worked the show. It was a rather short day in comparison to the Chicago show.

The opening band, called "Some Band" on the sheet I have here, was just that, some band. I didn't like what I heard, and from what everyone else said, nobody liked them. C.O.C. would've been cool.

The show itself was cool. Our seats had a blocked view of Lars, but otherwise were great. The show...well, I have yet to see a bad Metallica show (though I heard about this one, this one time...) and this was no exception. And I think the opening songs...at least the first 4...are one of the best groups of songs to open with. They played Fade SLOW...and I fucking loved it...normally it's faster than on CD, but not this time. The whole damn show was a highlight.

Post show...we handed out stickers for the club...someone stole a lot of our stuff...not very nice...not nice at all...and the bricks I hit agree. Postshow, seemed to be an extraordinary amount of T and A passes back there. We sat with Brian and Ashley (who worked with booth with Eric and myself, and are welcome to drop me a line if they ever read this, no matter how long after the show) and this couple whose work is shown on Metontour's pictures, at least once, but I'm betting they're on there for both day's shows. Only Jason came back, but I think that made Eric pretty happy.

And then we went home. A BIG thanks to Eric who drove nearly ALL the way back...I just can't keep up like him. And, well, that's that. Another 'Tallica show, another happy Dave, no matter what happens.
